Thank you. So Karis, where are you joining us from? I live in Northern Virginia. Been here for about four years. That’s great. Thank you so much once again for joining. And surprisingly, you are actually the first female guest of this episode since I began this podcast. Wow. Right? So guys, Karis has a BA in Christian Education and MA in Counseling. And she’s also the author of Suffering Redeemed, Finding Strength to Endure, Purpose in Pain, and Hope for Tomorrow. I mean, just reading the title of the book just gives you a glimpse into how amazing the book is. So, Karis, what really was the inspiration for this book? I’ll tell you, I never thought I would write a book in my dreams ever of what I would do. But God has different plans than we do. And I’ve walked a long journey of chronic suffering. I was very healthy all growing up and was very active in sports. But um five I contracted some parasites when I was overseas and long story short um really damaging a lot of my organs and I just it just started me on this path of chronic illness where I’ve been in and out of the hospital and um on feeding tubes and just just very very hard very hard things that I have had to walk through because of that. And about six years ago, I felt like the Lord was telling me to just start writing about how he was in me and through the suffering. And at that time, it was a very low point for me. I was just very discouraged, very depressed also, kind of despairing of life in a lot of ways. But I was obedient. I started writing just some of the questions, writing about my own internal battle and struggle with faith and doubt and hope and all the things I think that people generally struggle with when they’re in a long term, um, um, of suffering. And I, you know, I started a blog and a Facebook group, just the people who were, who were suffering, not, not necessarily in the same way, but we live in a world where there’s a lot of suffering. There’s a lot of struggle at the beginning of the last year. I, as I was praying, I felt the Lord lead me to, to put a lot of the stuff that I had the content that I had written and make it into a book and so that’s kind of what I did in 2022 just the process of compiling it and learning how to write and publish and all those things that go into writing a book and so I launched that um in October of 2022 and that’s that’s kind of the journey of the book writing foundation throughout all of it was God if I didn’t I don’t know what I would have done and I don’t know if I would even be here if it wasn’t for the Lord who sustained me daily um through his word and through the hope that we have of his promises and eternal life. And so I think that the main message is how do we walk down these roads of struggle and suffering, you know, whether it be small or big or anything in between. And so how do we endure and not only survive, but to live fully? I mean, Jesus said that he has come to give us life and to give it to us abundantly. And so how do we live this abundant life, even when circumstantially our lives may be very difficult, but it is possible and there is hope and there is, you know, God’s presence is always available and he is always faithful. and so my main my main my heart is alongside other people who are suffering who are who are losing hope who are struggling to keep going um it’s still hard for me some days are very hard yeah but I have hope you know I have hope and I have seen how God has has gotten me through and so I say yes God you are faithful and you will continue to be faithful even if I don’t always understand and so that’s where you know the faith and the trust comes in yeah I think that is so beautiful I am so glad that God kind of used that bad circumstance to draw you closer to him I think I said something about that in one of my episodes that sometimes when bad things happen it’s really hard it’s always hard to get through them but at the end of the day when we kind of see things um from a bigger point of view we see that god uses that to draw us closer to him and to get to know him more and i am i’m so glad for you i’m glad for you um okay so speaking of suffering i mean i think it’s such a great coincidence that we are actually going through the book of ruth at this time also and i think you’d be the perfect person to kind of give us an insight into that story we see this two women major women Ruth and Naomi who know so much about suffering there is so much going on in their lives right now and I just usually I don’t read this part of the bible it’s like the introduction summary you know like every book in the bible has this little brief introduction to the book and for some reason I decided to read and I just this line caught my attention so much it said this is the introduction summary to the book of Ruth that is using the good news version and it says the story of judges which is the previous book shows the disaster that came when god’s people turned away from him but ruth shows a blessing that came to a foreigner who turned to israel’s god and so became part of his faithful people and i think that is that is so huge you know we’ve been going through the book of um genesis and exodus and numbers you know those first five books and literally just talking about the Israelites and their journey with God and here is like this major book that talks about a foreigner someone who wasn’t an Israel and I think it just speaks volumes about the fact that God can use literally anyone to fulfill his will you know this was like a time where the Israelites were finding it hard to obey God they were just falling away and they had to repent and then when they did god would be with them and then with time they’ll fall away again it was just that like cycle of disobedience and repentance and then god chose to use this foreigner named ruth in such a magnificent way because at the end of the day she ended up being the great-grandmother of king david and which essentially became like the lineage where Jesus came from and I think that speaks so much volumes about the fact that God can use anybody to do his will so what do you think we can learn from the life of Ruth so far you’re right uh Ruth and Naomi um you know there’s so there’s so many um treasures that we can extract from it’s hard to even pick a few but a few of the things that came to me immediately was um she surrendered all of her life basically to god and she went she went against you know the cultural norms which would be for her to go back to her family and yeah willing to give up her entire life for naomi you know to put to put her welfare above her own i just you know the in the in the beginning there when um when nao tells both of her daughter-in-law is like you know well they both first they both say you know we’re gonna stay with you we’re gonna you know we’ll stay with you and then she says go back to your families and orpa the other the other sister the other um daughter-in-law you know says okay then i’m out see you later but ruth she was true to her word, right? She stayed. And I just think that that devotion, that loyalty is just so beautiful. And I think especially in today’s world, it seems like everyone’s kind of just out for their own. I think individualistic, it’s very just do whatever is best to get you ahead versus Ruth’s attitude and just full of, um, surrender and service. So the two words are surrender and service of how she just, she was willing to serve her mother-in-law and then just to see how God just was so good to take care of her and Naomi. So good. You know, it kind of of the book of job and that you know he was stripped of everything and then god blessed him at the end and he stripped they’re basically don’t have anything and then god blesses them you know at the end too and um so it’s it’s just so it’s so good to see god’s faithfulness but yeah those those are the two the two biggest things yeah yeah that i feel that is so inspirational for us as well one major thing that stuck out to me is her faithfulness like she didn’t just decide to follow Naomi back to Israel she also decided to serve Naomi’s God which is the God of Israel like we’re talking about a foreigner a Moabite who literally had no business with worshiping the God of Israel but I feel like her firm decision to believe in the God of Israel which is essentially the god to believe in god and to serve him and to worship him was what birthed her initiation into the lineage of king david i feel like that speaks volumes about the fact that when we choose god over our fears when we choose god over what we think we know when we choose god over our will what we get in return is that we get god’s blessings is that we get to be a part of God’s promises and fulfill his will and I think that that that is what stuck out to me the most yeah that is that is so beautiful that’s why part of the surrender part that I was talking about was that she wasn’t she wasn’t holding on tightly to what made sense yeah to her you know she was willing to give that up and take those huge risks and then you’re right God she just happened to I I mean, it seems like it was just happenstance that she ended up in Boaz’s fields, and then that connection came, and then he was willing to take them in. But you’re right, it was the choice of staying true and faithful. And I love this. I was just thinking, this verse, when Boaz tells Ruth, he says, the lord repay you for what you have done all reward be given you by the lord the god of israel under whose wings you have come to take refuge i think that is such a beautiful picture of of you know she wasn’t out to seek god was out to serve her mother-in-law and then but But then Boaz sees that and, you know, he said the Lord was faithful to repay and to reward her. And just that picture of, you know, under the guy under whose wings you have come to take refuge. And it reminded me a lot of the Psalms, you know, that talk about refuge and strength and a present help in time of trouble. And just, you know, God’s God’s covering over us. and so I just yeah I really enjoyed that that picture yeah it’s a beautiful story um well the not so beautiful part of the story also comes in as well because we know that Naomi was going through a lot I mean she left Israel with her husband and with her two sons and then she returned back to Israel without neither of them so it was a really tough time for her like she even mentioned that she was going to change her name from Naomi to Mira because according to her God had made her life bitter and I think that is that is so sad like to think that she Naomi probably was a Jewish woman who worshiped God who obeyed all the laws and all the commands and then she had all this misfortune happen to her so how do you recommend that people going through like similar sufferings and emotional pain push through and keep on going with god that is a great question it’s something we need to really consider and um and you know it’s interesting because naomi’s response even though it doesn’t seem like it’s a very good one it seems like something that in our natural person that we that’s how we would respond and I’ll be honest that’s that’s how I have felt at certain times like God why have you let all these hard things happen to me when you’re in a place where it just goes from bad to worse and it seems like the odds are just stuck stacked up against you believe I mean I believe God God has sovereign control over all things so if that’s the case, then why? Yeah, why does God allow some very difficult things to happen to certain people? And, you know, the answer is we don’t know. We know that God has a lot of his purposes. I mean, we know from the word that his purposes and his plans are beyond us, right? But I think there is enough in the word about who god is and about the promises that we can stand on those truths while we’re walking through the fire while we’re walking through the trial and for me and i think for anyone what one thing that i would say is the psalms provide a wonderful outlet for us to relate to God in our suffering and in our rejoicing and in whatever we’re going through, because there’s such a broad range of emotions and circumstances that this give and the prayers in there are just, they’re very raw. They’re very honest, also full of honor and giving glory to God. So I think it’s really important. I mean, God knows our hearts anyways. So for the first several years of my struggle, I didn’t pray about how difficult things were for me because I was so afraid to dishonor God. But I think I missed out on the intimacy of God because of that. And so I had to grow into learning how to pour out my heart to God, as it says in the Psalms, to how to show him and give him everything that was going on internally, but then also to declare truth and to declare God’s goodness and his faithfulness, even when our feelings don’t necessarily line up, when our circumstances don’t necessarily line up. And so I think sometimes it’s the choice to say, okay, I’m going to keep believing even though i don’t feel like it right now you know because god is faithful and he will provide the faith we need he’ll provide everything we need to keep us in his love as we surrender to him and sometimes that’s walking through very long dark nights of where you feel i’m gonna make it you know um but i think you know we’ve seen we see enough enough about god that he is he is always faithful and he will he will never abandon us and so it’s not us that that we need to hold it all together you know we have to you know be this person because we know we’re not god knows we’re not and he’s he’s strong enough you know yeah i think that is really important like what you said that we are not alone there are just so many people that feel like they have to go through whatever they’re dealing with alone because they feel like no one else will understand and i think that that’s that’s actually true in a way because no one really understands what anyone else is going through except they are in their shoes but the good thing about that is that god understands god knows exactly what it feels like to be misunderstood and he knows what exactly it feels like to be suffering or to pass through pain you know you do not deserve and i feel like it is so important for us to realize and know that that God wants to be a part of our pain and our suffering and that he wants to walk with us on this journey because he has been on a similar journey before and he wants to guide us to see us through that and I feel like a lot of people need to know that and need to trust in that more I completely agree and I think in those moments when you’re in that desperate place of it’s it’s a very vulnerable place to where we can believe lies of the enemy or lies that we start believing in ourselves or shame you know just a lot of things that that when you’re already kind of in a place of desperation the loneliness just kind of can overwhelm you and can sink you deeper into that into that hole into that pit feels like yeah there’s no there’s no coming out of it now you know this just reminded me of something like I was I was going through a phase I was going through a phase in 2020 and it was it was just it was bad like it was that I wouldn’t I don’t know if I should call it depression but it was I was definitely not okay it was a lot I was dealing with so many things and then you have like the COVID coming up and that it was just way too much for me and I remember that during that time i did feel lonely i thought that no one else would understand what i was going through and i had no one else to trust and that that just gave like the enemy that chance to feed me so many lies i’m glad that my mom kind of helped me through that but i cannot help but imagine what would have happened if my mom wasn’t around and then i also cannot help but imagine what other people are going through people that probably don’t have the convenience of having a mother that cares or having people that care like that just gives so much room that moment of depression and loneliness gives so much room to believe so many lies at some point unfortunately thank god i did not see through but at some point it felt like taking my life didn’t seem like a bad idea anymore you know it was just like it would have been yeah it would have been better like i mean no one really cares about me I might as well just kill myself and no one would even blink an eye and then now I’m thinking about like that was so dark like to think that taking my life wouldn’t be that much of a big deal was such a huge lie that I almost believed and that is what so many people are passing through right now and I just think that God can help you out of that situation and if he wants to help you if you’re passing through that you just have to let him in that that’s so true and god made us to be you know people that are connecting make us to be alone right he said it’s not good for man to be alone and he made us he made us for our souls to connect in community and i think more and more we live in a world where um especially with social media and all of that it can it can even be more isolating because people is where they get community and it’s not really um yeah they feel they feel kind of even more isolated because of that yeah as you were as you were sharing that story it reminded me because i’ve been there too life just doesn’t feel worth it and the difficulty feels like it’s going to overwhelm but i think you know as as believers as people who have the hope there is such you know jesus is our living hope and it’s not just some ambiguous you know he is he is the living the living the word of god and he is the the hope that lives within us that we can bring hope to others you know and it’s you know we have what we’re thinking and what we’re speaking is really what we’re believing and even if it’s in our it’s gonna it’s gonna have influence over our body and our over our emotions over our presence in the room and i was just thinking about psalms 42 11 that says um let’s see this is why are you cast and why you turmoil within me hope in god for i shall again praise him my salvation and my god and i love that psalms because it’s it’s saying you know this person is cast down it’s they’re in turmoil okay i’m gonna tell you tell you tell myself like tell my soul to hope in god and that i again like i will like that’s not right now but in the future i will praise him again but it’s gonna god’s gonna restore me it’s gonna restore hope to me and i and so it’s kind of this it’s like a prophecy you know like um speaking prophetically to your own soul that keep hoping and so anyway just wanted to add that because the way that we have to be really intentional in those times keep speaking the truth even when we don’t feel it yeah that is so true i remember there was there was a time i had to literally print out different verses of the bible and paste them on my wall just to remind myself every day in case i forgot yeah on or in days when i just felt very lazy to open my bible i would just see maybe a certain verse and then that would give me that encouragement i needed and it was so helpful so just a quick tip to people that are finding it difficult to find a time to read the bible you can do that it helped a lot because god’s word is literally our strength to move on so like we have gone through a lot we began this journey from genesis we’ve been through the first five books we’ve gone through the journey of israelites we’re presently going through judges and roots so we’ve gone through a lot we’ve seen so many things seen so many stories so um out of all of that what do you think is one lesson that we can learn you know i think it is i’ll just say that one of the things that that stood out to me most from ruth and i think this also has to do with the israelites is just yeah using to trust god above their circumstances because we saw i mean you we see how many times israelites fell because they were so consumed with their circumstances that they took things into their own hands and they stopped trusting god and then they grumbled in their tents and then they made the you know they made their own idols and then they lied and they see over and over again cycles and also in judges i mean it’s the same story in judges where you know they’re trying to get their own kings they’re trying to be like the people around them they’re trying to just take things take the control back versus you know looking to god this these things don’t make sense but we’re going to trust what you say above what we see and above what we think we know and that’s exactly what ruth did too she her circumstances were terrible but she chose to trust god and to his way versus what made sense to her or what made sense culturally and you know we all can lives today because we all have circumstances where it we think you know we think we know what’s best and we think we know what god in our lives he doesn’t always work that way and then we want to take control right it’s it’s so much better to control even though it’s an illusion because we’re really not in control um of very much I mean we can control our response to things but above that really so much is out of our control and so if we can just and say okay God I trust you above above all this going on that’s really the biggest that’s what I’m going through constantly in my own life too so I’m I’m I need to continually remind myself of that too yeah I don’t think trusting God is a one-time all your life thing I think it’s something you have to do every single day literally every single day you have to make that intentional decision to trust God and one thing that literally just came to me while you were saying this was the fact that you know this is today we are going through Ruth chapter two and then she meets Boaz and then Boaz is kind of taking care of her and all of that we kind of have the tendency to think that her life was easy you know she just lost her husband and then you have this new future on the sideline like literally there’s nothing hard about her life but the thing is that the bible really didn’t mention the amount of years that it took after Ruth’s husband died for her to go back to Israel with Naomi and then for her to meet Boaz it didn’t mention a timeline and so we can conclude that there were probably so many so many times that Ruth would have kind of doubted herself or kind of thought maybe she was making that wrong decision to follow Naomi. I mean, she was going to go to a country that she had never been to, to a people that she had never met, to she was literally going to go to new territory. And that would have been quite daunting for her. And I feel like that is something that we should understand because it wasn’t an easy decision for Ruth to follow Naomi to Israel. It wasn’t an easy one. it was something that was filled with so much doubt so much so much uncertainties like she had no idea that she was even going to meet Boaz literally she was without a husband and in those times it was probably very difficult for a woman to be a widow you know you were just susceptible to so many other things and I think that should kind of speak to us as well because while we’re following God and while we’re making that intentional decision to trust him it’s not always going to be easy it’s it’s not it’s not the easiest route i will just give you that disclaimer now there will be so many times that you’re going to doubt yourself or that you’re going to think that you’re doing the wrong thing there’ll be so many times you’d feel that doing things your way would make your life easier but at the end of it there was just this verse from i think proverbs that always keeps coming to me is that there is a way that seems righteous to a man but the end of it is destruction and that is so important for us to know that there are so many things that we think would make our life easier or so many ways we think we know better than god but in truth is that we have no idea the consequences of following our ways or following our will without god’s approval and that is really important for us to know especially as we move in this world there’s just so many things so many distractions you know every day is like it’s it’s a struggle to choose God and to trust in God but we hope because we know that he loves us and he’s working for our good well said that’s so true so true yeah so in judges as well um we are seeing this huge cycle of disobedience you know like going through the books of um i think the tronomy and joshua we see where moses and joshua kind of the main leaders of israel um are telling the israelites okay so while you’re heading to the promised land when you get there don’t forget god don’t forget what he has done for you don’t turn away don’t worship the idols of the nations around you and all of that but despite those warnings and despite those advices we see in today’s readings that the israelites do turn away they forget god and they follow other idols and then we see the consequences of that and you know it’s easy for us to think that okay these israelites are kind of ingrates they are so ungrateful like how could they do that like they were warned you know well one thing i always like to say especially i’ve been saying that when we’re going through the first five books is that when we read the story of israelites we should kind of get off our high horse because we are not any different from them i mean how many times do we get distracted like how many times we repent of a particular sin and then we go back to it like almost immediately so how can we remain faithful in god like even when we’re surrounded by so many things that tell us to do the opposite well i think you are you say we are just like the israelites because it is so easy to judge as we are reading because it seems so obvious to us like turn back they god just told them to do this but you know that i think first of all to attitude of humility and a broken spirit before the lord and recognize our own sin and our you know our tendency to turn away to turn our own way first mentions you know we think we know the right way to go and we think we think we um i think sometimes yeah we think we’re above you know being being tempted or yeah astray or being deceitful but like jeremiah says you know the heart is deceitful above all things you know who can understand and we don’t even understand our own hearts sometimes and so just to have this attitude of humility and just is so beautiful and to have a i think is so important in relating to the lord is having times of quiet still and quiet before him which is extremely hard to do it’s i think it’s much easier to read the bible or pray or do a bible study or listen to a sermon but when you when you come before the lord attitude of quietness and just reverence and waiting on him waiting on what he has to what he has to tell us or bring bring to our mind or the spirit may you know bring bring something to mind that we need to repent of that those are the of intimacy where we where we grow and where god can clean out you know clean out different areas of our life we just may not we’re so busy where i think we live in a world that is that is just go go go and um yeah we can we have blind spots we all have blind spots in our lives where we don’t we don’t see clearly um but god in his grace is so good to reveal those things to us because he knows that we will relate to him others so much better when we aren’t hindered by it might not even be sin it might be just distractions that are i try i’m trying to do more regularly it’s hard with four kids but i try to have that you know just for the lord um where i can be quiet and um and listen yeah definitely recommend that meditation is one of the best forms of prayers because it just helps you um to listen you know so much so much time we spend in prayer to god we spend it on speaking you know and telling god what we want him to do for us and so just meditating just gives you that chance to listen to what god wants from you and i think that’s quite scary to think about you know so many times we don’t want to listen to god not because we don’t love him or not because we don’t want to hear from him it’s because we’re scared of what he says to us we’re scared of what he wants from us because that can be really daunting but um at the end is that we cannot follow god if we um block our ears and not listen from him he literally has to tell us what to do um in order for us to do it so yeah that is definitely a huge recommend for people who are struggling please meditate more reminded me of what you said earlier, which I think is just about how it’s not an easy road. I think sometimes we think, Oh, I’m going to follow God and it’s going to be, he’s going to make everything good. And it’s going to be, you know, it’s going to be great. And it is the best. It is the best. It’s the only life that is good and, and full of joy, but it, it’s going to be hard. It is going to be hardened and i think it’s it’s made very clear jesus said you know there’ll be trouble in this world and you know for those who are who are the lord there’ll be persecution there’ll be you know that the enemy is gonna attack us in a lot of different ways there’s gonna be spiritual warfare we need to always be living ready for battle with our arms you know it’s every day is a walk of faith and i think sometimes we wake up just like oh i’m just gonna go through my day and unprepared not that we have to like be afraid or be you know coloring of in and of what’s going to happen but we need to be prepared for what is to come and we need to have the sword of the spirit you know we need we need to have the word of god within us and the helmet of salvation and the truth the faith you know all of these all of these body armor parts that that god tells us clearly in ephesians the daily wearing that that means that if there’s going to be a battle that doesn’t mean we’re going to be walking through you know fields of grass and it’s going to be like you know fairy tale land that’s not that’s not how it’s going to be until until jesus returns you know things are going to go from bad to worse so we have to be that that has to be our mindset and that’s something I think with my struggle and with writing the book is I realized like I think we expect to have good easy lives we expect like when suffering comes we’re surprised but that’s not really that biblically that’s not really and that’s that’s kind of um uninformed thinking and so just to have this different mindset of yeah we have to keep faith until the end and we end it but it’s okay because god is you know we’re going to be walking through fire you know he might not deliver us from the fire and from the water but he will be with us through it right that’s how it is so yeah that is so true like you said that um we expect our lives to be easy but it’s not i think that is really powerful because some people do um ask you know why are our lives harder than it’s supposed to be i mean we’re christians we’re following the good god we’re following the creator heaven and earth so if anything our lives should be easier and sometimes some people kind of misunderstand us to think that god derives joy in making our lives harder you know he’s or maybe he’s just punishing us for our sins and so sometimes people just find it very hard to understand why certain things happen to us you know i feel sometimes it’s it’s easier said than done it’s easier to say that um our lives are going to be hard or going to be difficult but when some certain things happens it just leaves you mute and you’re just trying to struggle to understand what exactly is going on but something i’ve kind of discovered is that um the hardships that we experience in our lives um apart from bringing us closer to god are also ways that help us to help others you know it’s just like your instance you know like you can help other people suffering with like physical pain or illnesses because you’ve been through that yourself so you kind of understand exactly what it means to be in that position same it is with me i can help other people struggling with depression or loneliness because i’ve been through that exact situation ourselves myself and i think that is really powerful for us to know some people actually um after being saved from probably depression or addictions they kind of feel like you know the past is in the past and i don’t have to talk about it again you know i’m a new being a new creature and so i have to move forward because they feel like it’s it’s shameful you know talking about their past but the thing is that god wants you to talk about your past so that you can help others their past or to deal with they’re present you know i think that’s that’s something that really um sticks out to me from what you said that’s we need to be willing vessels to be used in our weaknesses and there’s no shame you know there is no condemnation and there is no shame in jesus so yes god it is it is so hard it’s something that i have struggled with a lot is being vulnerable in my weakness because we want we feel better when we’re strong we feel better when we’re speaking from a place of victory or strength versus a place of weakness and it’s it can be embarrassing you know like I really am struggling but yet God says that he is made perfect like his strength is made perfect in our weakness so we need to believe that that’s actually the truth that god will show his power and he will be glorified he uses and we see it in the bible over and over again that he uses the people who are the most unlikely right and the who are least it seems and so it’s yeah i think that that shame is you know from the lord and something that we have to work through in order to be able to have the victory and the confidence places of weakness yeah definitely true definitely true um this has been so insightful so far um so just to conclude um in judges for something interesting happens so we have um i don’t know if you’ve read that part you would have um jael this woman kind of killing this army commander cesara by um nailing or i think she hammers a nail through his head i don’t want to yeah i don’t want to imagine how that would look like but that’s how it happened um i think for me that that just helped me connect to what happens or what is said in genesis chapter 3 verses 15 that’s right at the beginning where god says to satan that the woman would crush your head and then you’ll strike her heel and i think that just that’s like a foreshadowing of the fulfillment of that promise and then now we’re reading the story of ruth and then ruth is going to be that she will have that lineage where jesus the king would come from and jesus would end up crushing the head of satan at the cross and so i feel essentially this is just like the fulfillment of the promise not just the promise to abraham but like the promise way back at genesis and i feel this should just give us hope that god’s promises to us is always going to be fulfilled like we probably wouldn’t know the date we wouldn’t know when it will be fulfilled but we know that at god’s own time everything is going to pass as he has said it to be and i think that is something that we can hold on to when we are struggling to find answers to certain things happening to us and I think that’s just that’s just amazing that is beautiful I’ve never really tied those stories but I think that is that is a beautiful connection and we I think with the promises of God when we don’t see them fulfilled within you know a certain time frame then we can grow discouraged and lose hope but God is outside of time right he is completely 100% faithful to fulfill his promises to us once again for joining us today thank you so much fun i really much for listening this far i hope you have learned a thing or
